In pursuance to Order No. Ref. No.-BOA/TRANS. CURR. / 7-29/2025 Dated 03.11.2025, the Ayurpraveshika (Transitional Curriculum) for the 1st Professional BAMS students of the academic session 2025–26 was conducted in accordance with the NCISM guidelines. The programme was organized for newly admitted undergraduate students from 04thNovember, 2025 to 24th November 2025, and regular academic classes commenced on 25th November 2025. In reference to the Notice No. JBR/1860/2025 dated 20.11.2025, significant component of community connection was fulfilled through the rural outreach programme “Jeevaneeya – Ayurveda Arogya Mitra Abhiyan”. 44 (Forty-four) students of 1st Professional Ayurvedacharrya BAMS, academic session 2025-2026 were attended in the “Jeevaneeya – Ayurveda Arogya Mitra Programme” organized in association with Rahimpur Nabarun Sangha under the Village Adoption Policy prescribed as Ayurpraveshika Curriculum of NCISM on 22.11. 2025 at Rajbalhat-II Gram Panchayat, P.S. Jangipara, Dist. Hooghly.

OUTREACH HEALTH POGRAMS

1. J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital successfully celebrated the 10th Ayurveda Day on 23.09.2025 by organizing a series of health awareness, wellness, and community engagement activities. The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty, social workers, common people, and outdoor patients.
2. The 10th Ayurveda Day was observed at J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata on 23.09.2025 on the focal theme of “AYURVEDA FOR PEOPLE AND PLANET’’ through various programmes.
3. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Minakshi Gangopadhyay, Councillor. The event was attended by 75 students, 5 social workers, and 35 common people, making a total of 115 offline participants.
A medical and wellness camp was organized for common people and faculty members of Sovarani College. The camp included general health checkups, yoga awareness sessions attended by 15 people, and diet awareness sessions attended by 25 people. Additionally, 42 common people participated in the medical camp. The total number of participants in this activity was 82.
A rally was conducted to promote the principles and practices of Ayurveda. The rally was led by Chief Guest. It saw participation from 75 students, 5 social workers, and 35 common people, bringing the total to 115 participants.
4. An exhibition was set up for outdoor patients and common people. It featured three main attractions: a Prakriti Parikshan Stall with 55 visitors, a Medicinal Plant Display Stall attended by 45 people, and an Ayurvedic Formulation Stall visited by 50 people. The total footfall for the expo was 150 participants.
5. Two public awareness activities were conducted for outdoor patients and common people. A seminar on Ayurveda was attended by 48 people, and health talks were attended by 52 people.
6. Several wellness programmes were organized exclusively for students:
A yoga and meditation session was attended by 55 students.
An awareness session on Ayurvedic diet was attended by 41 students.
A storytelling session related to Ayurveda was attended by 48 students.
An interactive workshop was attended by 55 students.

DESH KI PRAKRITI PARIKSHAN
Each volunteer (undergraduate and postgraduate students, interns, and teaching faculty) caried out the Prakruti Pareekshan of 15 individuals per day for the remaining days and achieve the target of minimum of 300 Prakruti Pareekshan per volunteer by the culmination of the campaign (i.e. 25.12.2024).

Ayurveda Day Celebration
8th National Ayurveda Day was observed at J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata on 10.11.2023 on the focal theme of “Ayurveda for One Health’’ through various programmes.
1.Poster competition on ‘Awareness of Ayurveda’ and ‘Public Health and Ayurveda’ for the students of the institute was arranged on 8th November 2023.
2.Propagation of Ayurveda and public intervention by displaying of various opinion and interaction with patient through LCD TV screen in different important places on 09th & 10th November.
3.Distribution of medicinal plants (free of cost) to the patients and common people was arranged from 9th to 14th November, 2023. This programme was inaugurated by Dr. Debasish Ghosh, Hon’ble Director of Ayurveda, Government of West Bengal.
4.A seminar on the theme “Ayurveda for One Health” was organized on 9th November 2023 in presence of dignitaries. Dr. Pradyot Bikash Kar Mahapatra, Officer-in-Charge (Ayurveda), The West Bengal University of Health Sciences and Principal in charge, Institute of Postgraduate Ayurvedic Education and Research at SVSP Hospital, Kolkata, delivered a speech on “Role of Ayurveda in Geriatric Care”. Dr. Aditi Chowdhury, Associate Professor, Community Medicine, Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal delivered speech on “Interpersonal Communication Skill Development”. Professor Abichal Chattopadhya, Former Head, Department of Sanskrit, Samhita and Siddhanta, Institute of Postgraduate Ayurvedic Education and Research at SVSP Hospital, Kolkata and Fellow of Rashtriya Ayurved Vidyapith, New Delhi, delivered lecture on the topic entitled, “Public Health in Samhitas”.
5.A quiz contest was conducted for the students on the focal theme on 9th November 2023.
6.Two Awareness camp has been conducted at the office of the BHEL, Kolkata and HPCL, Kolkata on 10.11.2023.
